Home owner Aaron said one family couldn’t even stay the whole night at the house in Jefferson City, Missouri
A couple who are convinced their family home is haunted have put it on Airbnb so others can stay and “have experiences”.
Aaron and Erin Clark from Jefferson City, Missouri, have decided to turn “lemons into lemonade” after they started experiencing paranormal activity in their 109-year-old “dream” house.
Built in 1910, the American Foursquare residence is in the middle of the Hobo Hill Historic District and looks like many of the grandiose historic homes in Jefferson City, but looks can be deceiving.
The family found the lights, space heaters and kitchen sink would turn on by themselves and the pet pit bull would not go near certain areas.
Then their eight-year-old daughter started having nightmares and sleepwalking and the couple even claim to have seen a tall man in a suit and top hat in the corner of their eyes.
The home even appeared on the Travel Channel’s “The Dead Files” which detailed the paranormal activity.
The couple lived in the house for about seven months before they moved out.
But now the couple have turned the spookiness to their advantage after listing the holiday renting site Airbnb.
Aaron told News Tribune : “We didn’t think it would be right selling to another family knowing what we know.
“We’ll just turn lemons into lemonade, and since the prison is so close and people in Jeff are interested in that sort of thing, we’ll just turn it into a short-term Airbnb, and people can stay and have experiences.”
The Hobo Hill House is available for up to 10 guests and includes a cozy bedroom and full kitchen which “will not disappoint”.
Guests have access to the entire home EXCEPT the third floor – mysterious!
