My recommendation is that...
#1 - Everyone should have their Natal Chart done at least once.
More if you don't feel the information you received was extremely valuable. Different Astrologers have different experience...and thus, sometimes it really pays to get a "second opinion" and have someone else take a look at your chart in order to help you understand yourself, your life, and your path more thoroughly.
#2 - Everyone should have their Transit Chart read on a yearly basis.
More if something major comes up during the year and you need an Astrologer to dig deeper into the specifics of that one event.
However, a yearly Transit Chart gives you so much insight into the year ahead that often you won't need additional readings. It allows you to plan for the coming year and foresee what's ahead so that you can make any necessary changes and adjustments in advance. PLUS....you'll know the exact right time to take action on anything.
